I am currently preparing a poster presentation on the damage caused by high intensity impulse noises, most of which has been found through research done on chinchillas and guinea pigs. Here is a sentence straight out of “Critical Review: Impulse Noise” by some Swedish researchers:
“…exposed guinea pigs to impulse noise by firing handguns 1 meter from their ears.”
